A night of inspiration — and real impact.
Join ARC for Nepal for an unforgettable evening in support of Samsara Ghar, our children's home and learning center in rural Nepal. Our guest speaker, Hari Budha Magar, is a former British Gurkha and double above-knee amputee who became the first double above-knee amputee to summit Mount Everest and to complete the Seven Summits.
Hari will share his story of courage, determination, and purpose. Every ticket purchased goes directly toward building a permanent home and educational campus for vulnerable children in Huwas, Parbat, Nepal.
Whether you join us for the keynote or stay for the full dinner experience, your presence makes a difference.
Meet our Speaker
Hari Budha Magar
Hari served as a Corporal in the British Army's Brigade of Gurkhas, one of the world's most elite fighting forces. In 2010, a roadside bomb in Afghanistan cost him both legs above the knee.
Rather than accept limitations, Hari redefined what was possible. He trained relentlessly, became a world-class adaptive athlete, and set his sights on Everest. On May 19, 2023, he reached the summit, becoming a Guinness World Record holder as the first double above-knee amputee in history to do so. He has since completed the Seven Summits, standing on the highest peak of every continent.“My motto is simple: wherever there’s a will, there’s a way. My legs may be gone, but my determination is not.”
In recognition of his extraordinary contributions to disability awareness, Hari was awarded the MBE in the King's Birthday Honours. He is now a sought-after motivational speaker and disability advocate whose story has inspired millions around the world.|
